Established in 2003, by husband and wife team John Wingate and Marie-Louise Dunk, award winning JAMstudio is now in its 6th year of business.  John and ML had worked in London for many years, for several “starchitect” practices, and have over 30 years architectural design experience between them.  Their project experience has been vast, covering all sizes of projects from house renovations and extensions to multi story office blocks and everything in between, with projects throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East. 

Since 2005 the practice has been steadily growing, and despite the gloomy economic predictions JAMstudio remains very busy, and has recently hired another technical member of staff.  The staff at JAMstudio are passionate about building, enthusiastic and energetic, and presently as a practice we have over 30 live projects, ranging from experimental office design to steading conversions, listed buildings renovations and residential developments.

We are in the process of becoming an RIBA charted practice, and our aim is that this will complete by early 2010.  We are also working towards ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, which again we hope to have in place by the end of 2010. We know that every day is a continual learning process and JAMstudio actively encourage all members of staff to participate in further education and Continuing Professional Development, be that professional practice certificates, accounting diplomas or AutoCAD training, we know the value of staying up to date and keeping ahead of the competition.

We are increasingly incorporating the use of sustainable technologies into many of our projects, including solar panels and biomass heating.  What ever you have in mind for your project, rest assured that we will endeavour to find a solution that fits your aspirations, budget, and whenever humanly possible, your timeframe!
